My Approach
Our work will be a collaborative partnership centered around your own values, goals, and preferred pace. My approach is relational and attachment-focused, meaning I pay close attention to how safety, trust, and connection show up—both in your life and in the therapy relationship itself.
My style is flexible and responsive. I use moment-to-moment attunement and somatic tracking to provide options about where we could take a session, always inviting your input and consent.
I was born and raised on O’ahu, Hawaii and carry the values of Aloha, Pono, and Kuleana into my working relationships.
My education and training:
MA in Professional Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in addictions and eating disorders at Lewis & Clark College (2021)
Somatic Experiencing Training - Advanced Level, through Somatic Experiencing International (2021-2025)
Strategies for Adult Attachment through Trauma Solutions with Dr. Diane Poole Heller (2023)
The Couple’s Institute Developmental Model with Ellyn Bader (2025)
Touch Skills Training with Kathy Kain (2025-2026)
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our first session is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to get a sense of what’s bringing you in, what’s felt hard, and what you’re hoping to shift or explore. It’s also a space for you to ask questions about how I work. We will work together to identify which of my modalities feel like a good fit to address your needs and goals. We’ll go at your pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach that recognizes how stress, trauma, and emotions live in the nervous system—not just in our thoughts. In session, we might slow down and notice what’s happening in your body (like your breath, tension, or energy levels), explore physical responses to emotions, or work with tools to support regulation and release. It’s always collaborative, and I’ll offer options without pressure. Not every session needs to have a somatic-focus.
-
Not at all. I take an integrative approach that includes talk therapy, somatic practices, and relational exploration. We’ll work with thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and patterns in relationships—wherever the healing wants to happen. I follow your lead and offer reflections, questions, and practices to support your goals. We can also work our way towards somatic work at a gentle pace, or we don’t have to do somatic work at all.
-
While we still use conversation, I also pay close attention to what’s happening beneath the words—your nervous system responses, emotions that show up in the body, and the relationship between us. This means I attune to not only to what’s said but also to how you’re feeling in the room with me, and I support building trust and safety as part of the healing process. Our sessions can flow between talking and being with your body in way that feels comfortable to you.

I work with adults navigating stress, relational challenges, trauma, burnout, life transitions, and feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns. Together we explore what's underneath and begin building more capacity for ease, connection, and change. I have specialized training in treating substance abuse, addiction, and eating disorers.
