Services

  • I specialize in substance abuse, eating disorders, relational issues, trauma, and oppression-based difficulties. At this time I am only seeing individual adults. I utilize an attachment-based, relational approach to explore your struggles in the context of your personal relationships and larger social structures. I utilize interventions from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also integrate somatic-based skills to help our insights settle into the rest of your nervous system. You can expect our sessions to be collaborative, compassionate, and culturally-affirming.

  • While feeling disconnected in a relationship can be a lonely, confusing and stressful experience, the process of reconnecting in relationships can be a resource for deep healing. In my relationship work, I offer a non-judgmental space to practice healthy and compassionate communication, conflict, and repair. Together we will gain insight on your relationship triggers, identify unhelpful patterns, co-create solutions, and build intimacy. I am LGBTQ and Poly-affirming. Relationship therapy sessions can include couples, multiple partners, and family members.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach for healing trauma. SE integrates the fields of physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics to release compressed traumatic energy in the body slowly over time. Trauma usually occurs when there’s too much happening, too fast, too soon. This can leave us feeling powerless, resentful, and stuck in unhelpful patterns that may be too rigid or too chaotic. SE techniques help the nervous system to discharge traumatic energy that gets stored in the body so you can move beyond survival mode.

You can expect these sessions to be spacious, exploratory, and empowering.

I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training (Beginning Level III).

  • Yoga is a spiritual practice with roots in the ancient wisdom of the Hindu tradition. I can integrate yoga-based skills such as mudras, breath-work, and asanas (postures) in our individual counseling or SE sessions. I also offer private in-studio yoga sessions.

I teach trauma-informed community yoga classes weekly. I acknowledge that I, as a Southeast Asian- American, am participating in the Westernization of yoga. I am committed to learning how to center yoga’s cultural roots in my personal and professional practice. See my resources page for my favorite South Asian yoga instructors.
